Wells Addington is a PhD student in English at Case Western Reserve University concentrating in Contemporary American Literature. His research focuses on literary production in the late-twentieth century, which saw both a major expansion in the print industry and the rise of new media technologies that threatened print’s predominance. In particular, he is exploring how postmodernist narratives (print and electronic) expose and employ their textual condition while engaging with and reacting against emergent media. As a fiction writer, musician and blogger, he has explored the potentials of old and new media from a creative as well as scholarly position.
