Personal Information
I am a PhD Candidate in the Department of Geography at the University of Washington in Seattle. My research is about environmental politics in the European Union, specifically how law can be used to protect the environment. Besides Geography, I am a graduate fellow and educator in the Law, Societies, and Justice Program at UW. Before working as a teaching assistant at UW, I was a high school English language teacher in Poland. In Seattle I have developed curriculum for the Community Coalition for Environmental Justice and for the radio station KEXP (through an internship made possible by the UW Simpson Center for the Humanities and the American Music Partnership of Seattle). During the 2013-2014 academic year I was in Europe doing my dissertation fieldwork.
