Teresa Pereira is pursuing her Master's in Landscape Architecture (MLA) at Temple University's School of Environmental Design, with an emphasis in ecological restoration. Her projects are focused on revitalizing and restoring degraded sites -- from blighted post-industrial pockets to damaged forests. She explores environmental and social components of each landscape through visual methods, such as diagrams, maps, modeling and videomaking. Her goal is to translate the process of design (including the inventories/analyses of spaces) in a more interactive and accessible way that represents experiential, ecological, and social elements. She utilizes her background in filmmaking, specifically on documentaries and narrative installations, to push interdisciplinary methods of understanding and designing places. She has a BA in Film Studies and Art History from Connecticut College.
