Susan Berg, PhD
Susan Berg is a transition expert. Her career-long focus on designing new futures—along with practices of stirring up creative energy—helps guide individuals and teams through the minefield and opportunities of 21st Century pressures.
Berg earned her Ph.D. in Adult Education from the University of California, Los Angeles, her MA from Northwestern University and her BA from Miami University in Ohio. Initially an educator and school administrator in California and Texas, she honed her focus on designing futures for organizations that use all the talent and creative juices of their people.
She invested over a dozen years at Unisys Corporation. There she was awarded the prestigious Chairman’s Innovation Award for implementing new teamwork practices for the demands of the 21st century.
Today, Susan Berg manages Compass Associates and is a partner with The Highline Practice, providing businesses with transition advising and tools to design new futures. She is the author of Choose on Purpose, a guide to making career decisions that are both meaningful and practical. She also serves as Adjunct Professor of Organizational Development and Leadership at The Pennsyvania State University and Saint Joseph's University.
Susan lives in Doylestown, Pennsylvania with her husband and two dogs, and is the mother of two thriving adult children. She is active in her community, especially the local YMCA, and donates her time as a speaker to local non-profits.
