Brief Bio: 

Elizabeth is currently a Ph.D. student in English at Cornell University. Her research interest is in nineteenth century African American literature, and her most recent project was a digital and multimedia exploration of Harriet Jacobs' Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl. She is broadly interested in questions of structural power, resistance, embodiment, trauma, and subjectivity (as a character and as a reader) in narratives of enslavement.
