Brief Bio: 

I am a Professor of American Studies and Director of the John Nicholas Brown Center for Public Humanities and Cultural Heritage at Brown University. I have worked on three large web projects (one with Tougaloo College; one digitizing a Japanese scroll in the Brown Library; and one funded by the NSF to provide curriculum materials to middle and high school teachers). I have taught a graduate seminar in Digital Scholarship.
