Brief Bio: 

Dr. Sheryl Grant is a user experience researcher and digital strategist. During her tenure at HASTAC she was director of social networking for the HASTAC/MacArthur Foundation Digital Media and Learning Competition from 2008 to 2017, and director of alternative credentials and badge research from 2014 to 2017. 

Her user experience research focuses on applying a values-driven, problem-centered approach to designing and developing new technologies. She is currently director of research for the Community Success Institute and RyeCatcher Education, working with L. Arthi Krishnawami on developing tools that promote trust frameworks in learning environments.
