Brief Bio: 

Dr. Sheryl Grant was director of social networking for the HASTAC/MacArthur Foundation Digital Media and Learning Competition from 2008 to 2017, and director of micro credentials and badge research for HASTAC from 2014 to 2017. 

Her scholarship post-HASTAC focuses on applying a values-driven, problem-centered approach to education that joins policy, design, and practice, with technology as a through line. She is currently director of research for the Community Success Institute, working with L. Arthi Krishnawami on developing a values-based Community of Trust approach to data in education.
