Ph.D. Candidate in Medieval Studies
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Medieval Studies at Cornell University. I am interested in how medieval literary history (and literary history more generally) can be seen to move through a conversation with the cultural past. My dissertation project investigates how the late thirteenth-century collection of saints' lives known as the South English Legendary, understood within its paleographic and codicological situation, changed according to its social context over time. My research interests extend to include the cultural history of the senses, Old and Middle English hagiography, digital cataloguing techniques, museum studies, and manuscript fragmentology.
