Chadee Persad is currently an Independent Contractor in the UTEACH SCIENCE PROGRAM at The University of Texas at Austin. In Fall 2011, he was an instructor in Materials Processing at The University of Texas at Austin. He was formerly Visiting Professor of Materials Science at The University of Trinidad and Tobago and concurrently Research Professor of Materials Science at the Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) at The University of Texas at Austin. His research focus at the AMC was on materials for metal-air fuel cells and pulse-loaded batteries. At The University of Texas, Chadee also held a concurrent appointment as Senior Research Scientist and Principal Investigator at the Institute for Advanced Technology, where he was a founding staff member. Dr. Persad holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the West Indies; an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the City University, London, England; and a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
