Megan Jeanette Myers
Megan Jeanette Myers is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Vanderbilt University. Myers is currently working on a dissertation examining the varied representations of Haiti in Dominican and Dominican-American literature. Myers is the President of the Alta Gracia Foundation and an organizer of Border of Lights, an event that takes place on the Haiti-Dominican border to commemorate the 1937 Massacre. Myers teaches Spanish and Portuguese at Vanderbilt and is interested in the ways in which technology is incorporated into the language classroom and Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL), especially involving Oral-Computer-Mediated Communication (OCMC). Myers is also interested in the familiarity of faculty and graduate students in language departments with CALL.
