Nicole Weber is senior in her last semester of her undergraduate degree. She spent her first 3 years at Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin, double majoring in History and Religious Studies. She will be completing her degree as a part of the Associated Colleges of the Midwest Newberry Library Seminar in the Humanities in Chicago, IL. She recently finished a summer research partnership with Professor Linda Sturtz (History) of Beloit College, in which she undertook a digital humanities and public history project on the island of Montserrat, W.I. as a part of of the Sanger Summer Research Program. Her upcoming research at the Newberry Library will aim to look at the history of knowledge and technology, with her individual interests centering on how concepts of modernity have changed the ways that different types of knowledge have been privileged or condemned throughout history.
