Brief Bio:

Currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Communication at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, my research focuses on critical/cultural studies of communication and feminist surveillance studies, with particular attention to how surveillance functions in online social spaces. I am interested in the ways in which forms of social surveillance enabled by new media technologies impact issues of inequality. I am published in journals including Communication Studies, Review of Communication, Communication and Critical/Cultural Studies, and Sexuality and Culture, as well as in the forthcoming Duke University anthology Feminist Surveillance Studies, edited by Rachel Dubrofsky and Shoshana Magnet.
