Martina Topić holds Master degrees in Political science and Journalism (University of Zagreb, Faculty of Political science, 2003), Postgraduate diploma in Media and Globalization (City University London, 2007), and a PhD in Sociology (University of Zagreb, Faculty of Humanities and Social sciences, 2013). She has worked on several research projects including UNESCO’ media development indicators (2008-2009) and FP7 project ‘Identities and modernities in Europe’ (2009-2012). She worked as a journalist for Croatian national print media (2003-2009), and as a research fellow at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Political science (2007-2013). In December 2013 she founded Centre for Research in Social Sciences and Humanities. Since July 2014 she works at Leeds Beckett University (GTA 7/2014-5/2016, and Lecturer in Public Relations (May 2016 - present). She published in the fields of Nationalism, Identity studies, Religion, Media, Gender, Culture, Corporate Social Responsibility, Public Relations, and Jewish studies. Her research interests include Nationalism, Identity studies, Sociology of Religion, Cultural sociology, and Jewish studies.
