Madalyn Rose is a senior in her final year of undergraduate study at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. A native Oregonian, Madalyn majors in English and minors in Women's and Gender Studies. As a freshman and sophomore, she participated in St. Olaf's two year, intensive great books course, "Great Conversations." With a focus in the humanities and specifically, 19th and 20th century women's literature, Madalyn is participating in the ACM Newberry Seminar in fall 2014. Over the summer, she served as a digital humanities intern at St. Olaf, assisting IT, library staff, and humanities faculty with developing and creating digital humanities projects. With a focus on literature and interest in digital humanities and digital literacy, Madalyn plans to bring these academic interests to her research at the Newberry.
