Laura Marin Soto
Laura Marin Soto is a student of art history at Wellesley College. Throughout her work she applies critical theory, feminist and queer theory to issues of race, sexuality, and the body in visual culture. Her interests span from contemporary art in China and the black diaspora to experimental cinema and video art. Most recently she has undertaken a critical study of street art and the Os Gemeos mural in Boston and she is currently expanding her field of research into emerging artistic practices that engage technology and digital networks. In particular, she is focusing on contemporary artists who, through digital and time-based media, critically engage war technologies and regimes of vision.
