Liesl M. Baum is research associate in the Center for the Arts, where her current assignment is Instructional Design Project Manager for the Integrated Design+Arts+Education Studio and the Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology. She works with both university faculty and public school teachers to combine the arts, technology, and critical and creative thinking to teach content standards to school-aged students. Current research interests include improving self-efficacy with pre- and in-service teachers for technology integration, using problem-based learning to teach technology skills to PK-12 students, and ways to foster critical and creative thinking skills among students and teachers. She received her doctorate in instructional design and technology from Virginia Tech.
