Brief Bio: 

Kelsey Utne is a PhD student in History at Cornell University, where she focuses on commemoration, nationalism, and memory in Modern South Asia. She holds a BA/BS in History and Political Science from Salem State University and an MA in South Asian Studies from the University of Washington in Seattle. Her MA research focused on digital Partition oral history initiatives rooted in diaspora communities, and examined the process of archive creation and its role in the memorialization of the trauma of Partition experiences.
