Anna Kipervaser is a Ukrainian-born multimedia artist, holding a BFA from the Art Academy of Cincinnati. Anna founded Manual Productions, a mobile artist space in 2003, organizing exhibitions in abandoned spaces nationally. In 2008, she founded On Look Films with Rodion Galperin, an independent film and multimedia production company. On Look Films is currently in post-production on the documentary film portion of UNTITLED: Voices and Faces of the Adhan: Cairo, a multimedia documentary and archiving project about the adhan, the Muslim call for prayer in Cairo. Anna has been the recipient of numerous grant awards and residencies including support from the National Geographic All Roads Film Project, Lucius and Eva Eastman Fund, Hartley Film Foundation, George Sugarman Foundation, New York Studio Program, and the Wilder Traveling Scholarship. Although inspiration for her work has always come from her fascination with culture, Anna’s experience in the Middle East has moved her to work with film as a tool for increasing awareness of social and cultural issues globally. Anna formed On Look Films in 2008 with Rodion Galperin to foster projects that promote cultural understanding through stories that bridge the gap across cultural divides. She is currently at Duke University in the MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts Program, she is a participant in the PhD Lab for Digital Knowledge.
