Brief Bio: 

Kathleen Juell holds a PhD in American Literature from Rutgers University, and has held research and teaching appointments at the McNeil Center for Early American Studies, Franklin & Marshall College, and Rutgers University. Her dissertation, "A Language 'Burning and God-Given': The Creative Form of Religious Writing in America, 1790-1865", argued for a re-evaluation of literary creativity from the vantage point of popular religious fiction, which innovated form without claiming originality for its authors. Currently, Kathleen writes and edits technical documentation in the cloud hosting space, and thinks about writing, teaching, and community in technical spaces.
