Personal Information

Brief Bio:

I am a MFA Candidate in Creative Writing and Literary Translation at Queens College, CUNY and an Adjunct Lecturer in English for CUNY. I regularly cross multiple campuses. I currently teach Research Writing 300 (For the Major & the Professions), English Composition 101/125 and English Composition 102/126 ("Intro to Lit" Style) at York College and Queensborough Community College, CUNY.

In my many roles, I cross genres as well. I write poetry and memoir. I teach literary works by many modern/contemporary writers, women of color poetics & multilingual poetry. I also teach digital/visual rhetoric and am actively exploring a comic-drawing practice. I pursued my first graduate degree at the University of Cincinnati, an MA in Literary and Cultural Studies with a Certificate in Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies. In my MA thesis, I explored how queer theory may aid how we frame life-narratives about coming of age and mental health struggles.

Another passion of mine is to explore the relationship between the humanities and museum/gallery spaces through the representation of intersectional feminist concerns. As I pursue an interdisciplinary, hybrid, creative and critical practice, I support the MoMA/CUNY Partnership and work part time as a Gallery Assistant at the Whitney Museum of American Art.
