Jacqueline Wallace is a doctoral candidate (ABD) in the Joint PhD Program in Communications at Concordia University, Montreal. She is a former co-founder and VP, International of Veer Inc. and Veer Europe GmbH (veer.com), an award-winning visual media and licensing company serving creatives in advertising, publishing and new media. Her research interests include: cultural economy(ies), diy design + craft, cultural intermediaries, gender studies, digital culture, social media, digital ethnography and design-thinking. Wallace is currently working on her dissertation titled: Women's Creative Labor: DIY Networks and the Indie Crafts Movement. She is also an advisory board member of the Fembot Collective, a scholarly collaboration promoting research on gender, media, and technology (fembotcollective.org).
