I received my B.A. in History from the University of Nevada Reno and my MSIS from North Carolina Central University. I began studying Arabic in 2006 and Persian in 2011. I have had a long standing interest in the Middle East—particularly the history and religions of the region. I am currently enrolled in a PhD program in information science at UNC Chapel Hill. My research interests include knowledge management systems for the humanities, knowledge organization, linked open data, and the study of the Abrahamic religions.
