Following an undergraduate focus on literature and writing, I entered Marketing Communications where I have held management positions in a Mobile Advertising venture as well as an incumbent in the telecommunications industry, delivering IP-communications services. Through these positions, I have led and developed innovative lead-generating marketing and communications programs and more than doubled lead rates through my direction of new media and social platforms.
Merging my background in literature, cultural studies, and a B2B marketing communications and new media professional career, I have leveraged the Georgetown community and Communication, Culture & Technology (CCT) program to explore the intersections and implications of language and new media. Through this research, I hope to engage the HASTAC community in the real applications of language and new media as applied to education and the professional and cultural community(ies) at large.
