Personal Information

Brief Bio: 

I am a graduate student in cultural anthropology at the CUNY Graduate Center and a Graduate Fellow at the Futures Initiative. My dissertation explores the political history of rain in a key water catchment area in Tanzania. My work is at the intersection of environmental history, anthropology of religion, agrarian studies and gender studies. I am also a Dissertation Fellow at the Center for Place,Culture and Politics at the CUNY Graduate Center and a Woodrow Wilson Dissertation Fellow in Women's Studies. I have taught anthropology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and New York University School for Professional Studies, focusing on questions of culture, religion and social justice.
