Digital Humanist, with a 'pen chant' for learning, 3D tech and playing with traditional research. Also love ridding the world of evil doers #AssissinsCreed
Currently employed as Head of Digital Scholarship & Initiatives at Iowa State University Library.
My research focuses on the creation of digital cultural heritage visualizations specifically 3D (re)constructions of archaeological sites, but also includes digital representations of art historical objects and 3D scanning.
I received my B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Iowa and returned to the University after receiving my M.A. in Digital Humanities at King’s College London. During my M.A., I researched the process of creating virtual heritage visualizations, explored how one might make them more accessible and effective while maintaining a high level of visual literacy and integrity.
I am also a member of the Register of Professional Archaeologists and an avid gamer. When I am not reconstructing history, digging in the dirt, or running across Roman rooftops on my Xbox, I enjoys reading and nerding out about the influences of environment on ancient cultural identity and linguistics.
