Brief Bio: 

P. Joshua Griffin is a doctoral candidate in sociocultural anthropology at the University of Washington (UW) and a priest associate at St. David of Wales Episcopal Church in Portland, OR. His multi-sited dissertation considers the experience, ethics, and politics of climate change among scientists, activists, and “frontline” communities. He is a curator with the transdisciplinary collective Re-Locate (relocate-ak.org) working with the Iñupiaq community of Kivalina in Northwest Alaska to support a culturally specific, climate-induced village relocation process. “Griff” is an academic Fellow of the Episcopal Church Foundation, was a 2014 summer fellow with the Digital Humanities Commons at UW's Simpson Center for the Humanities, a 2013-2014 UW Arctic Research Fellow, and former Environmental Justice Missioner of the Episcopal Diocese of California. He holds an M.Div. from Harvard Divinity School, a Certificate in Religion and Ecology from the Boston Theological Institute, and a B.A. from Dartmouth College with a double major in religion and environmental studies.
