Cheryl Spinner is a doctoral candidate in the English department at Duke University and is a current scholar in the PhD Lab in Digital Knowledge . She received her Master’s in English from Georgetown University (’10), where she was awarded a fellowship at Georgetown's Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship (CNDLS). Her dissertation is likely to explore the relationship between visuality and invisibility in 19th and early-20th century literature and culture; right now she is thinking about what it might mean to conjure an archive.
