Personal Information
Assistant professor of Hispanic Studies at Western University (Ontario). My research revolves around the intersection of art, ethnicity, race, and cultural production in Globalization. I hold a PhD in Hispanic Studies and Migration Studies, an MA in Spanish American literature and culture and a BA in Linguistics and Literature. I have written books on Literary theory and Colombian Contemporary Novel. I am currently interested in extending my PhD dissertation focused on the "Artistic representations of African-descendants in the current stage of Globalization". My immediate project has to do with Ethnicity, art and multiculturalism in the Digital Age, mainly focused on the Americas, Europe and Africa.
