I am a PhD student at the University of South Carolina where I study rhetoric and women's and gender studies. My research interests include feminist science studies (specifically, laboratory studies), posthumanism, care ethics, multi-species communication, professional science writing and communication, and ethnography. Full Bio: 

I am a PhD student at the University of South Carolina where I study rhetoric and women's and gender studies. My research interests include feminist science studies (specifically, laboratory studies), posthumanism, care ethics, multi-species communication, professional communication, and ethnography. I hold a Master of Arts degree in composition pedagogy and undergraduate degrees in philosophy and in nursing. Prior to my doctoral education, I worked as a Registered Professional Nurse for ten years, specializing in the care of leukemia and lymphoma patients requiring bone marrow transplantations. In addition to my academic research interests, I worked as the Editorial Assistant for postmedieval: a journal of medieval cultural studies during my masters training, and I am currently an Assistant Editor at punctum books (http://punctumbooks.com). I am also the founder and co-director of Itineration: Cross-Disciplinary Studies in Rhetoric, Media, and Culture (http://itineration.org).
