Brief Bio: 

Journalist, writer and researcher of University of Lisbon Centre for English Studies - ULICES’s Group 2 (English Culture), is a participant in the projects «British Empire. Ideology, perspectives and perceptions» (2007-), «Victorians Like Us» (2011-) and «Digital Humanities, Libraries, Schools and Social Development » (2011-). Her main fields of interest have been the colonial encounter and the arguments of colonialism, and also Victorian women writing, namely.
Holds a master’s degree, with a dissertation about Cornelia Sorabji (1866-1954), first woman barrister in India, and a PHD degree with a thesis about three Victorian women and invisibility, Harriet Taylor, Emma Wedgwood and Ellen Ternan.
