I'm a PhD Student in the School of Information & Computer Sciences at the University of California-Irvine. I'm interested in the way that mobile devices (hardware), social media (software), and ambient connectivity (infrastructure) are changing the nature of what it means to be connected. I'm always up for conversations about:
- How individuals construct and express identities in digital environments, and the impact of digital identity at the levels of the individual, the community and society at large.
- Configurations of knowledge emerging at the intersection of rapid technological and social change, and the way people use and engage with these new representations.
- Community Informatics; more specifically the use of social media and other technologies in the coordination of geographically collocated groups.
