Brief Bio:

I'm the Associate Director at the Franklin Humanities Institute at Duke University. At the FHI I'm responsible for programs supporting graduate students, among an interestingly varied mix of things. I did my PhD in English at Duke, focusing on US literature and culture, esp. race and imperialism from the 19th century onward. My current research interest centers on human-animal socialities in the shadow of racism.
