Chad Uhl is a master’s student in Classics at the University of Kansas, having received his B.A. with both university and departmental honors at the same university. He currently holds the position of Graduate Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Classical Mythology under the direction of Dr. Emma Scioli. Chad also serves as a Graduate Research Assistant to the Wilcox Classical Museum where he is working with Dr. Phil Stinson on digitizing the museum’s ancient numismatic collection.
In spring of 2018, he spent the semester studying Classics at the University of Glasgow and recently completed an additional program in Ancient Numismatics at the International Hellenic Research Foundation in Athens this past summer.
Chad is primarily interested in Augustan- and Silver-Age Latin Epic, Roman Religion, and Digital Humanities. His secondary research interests include Horace’s poetry, conceptions of time and eternity in the ancient world, and Epicurean philosophy.
