Originally from Chile, I came to the United States funded by a scholarship from the Chilean government to encourage K-12 teachers to earn a master's degree abroad. I did my master's in music education with concetration on performance (French Horn) at the University of Florida. I decided to continue with my Ph. D. at the same institution and was awarded with a similar scholarship from the Chilean government. As part of the new program, I have taken classes on electronic composition and the use of composition software. My current research revolves around the possibilities of algorithmic composition software for music education.
