Bryn Reese joined the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana as Chief Development and Marketing Officer in January 2009 where she is responsible for strategic and tactical oversight and implementation of integrated fundraising and marketing initiatives for the world’s largest Girl Scout Council. Her responsibilities include public support, advocacy, new business ventures and alliances, and brand management. She has an extensive track record in major gifts, corporate and foundation support, government grants and signature thought leadership events. Prior to joining the Girl Scouts, Bryn held executive positions as Senior Vice President, Chicago Botanic Garden; Executive Vice President, External Relations, Metropolitan Family Services; Vice President for External Affairs, Chicago Council on Global Affairs; and Vice President for External Affairs, Chicago Academy of Sciences and its Notebaert Nature Museum. Bryn earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Arizona, her Master of Science from DePaul University, and completed the Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management executive education program at Harvard Business School.
