I am finishing my Masters of English this year at NCSU, where I also teach first-year writing. As a scholar, my interests include electronic literature, multimodality, visual rhetoric, artists' books, materiality, contemporary poetry, and digital media. Other interests include blueberry muffins and hammocks. I teach first-year composition, and I have a class of traditional and a class of international students. I am interested in implementing a visual, multimodal, and digital composition pedagogy in both of these classrooms. I believe that digital, visual, and technological rhetoric plays a vital role in the contemporary composition classroom, and I am also a strong proponent of the interdisciplinary connections these type of assignments facilitate across campuses and communities.
