Adrienne Adams (they/them)
I am a first year student in the Department of American Studies and Ethnicity at USC. My research calls into question the communication technologies and strategies both Black Trans Angelenos and local LA government utilized in the late 20th century. One key aspect of my research is understanding government databases (its source code, architecture, and interface) as a communication technology.
Prior to entering USC, I served as the 2018-20 LACMA Emerging Arts Professional Fellow, which enabled me to work with the museum's Collection Information and Digital Assets Department.
