Tara Rodgers teaches in the Women's Studies department at the University of Maryland, where she also works with the Digital Cultures & Creativity program and the Maryland Institute for Technology in the Humanities (MITH). She has an MFA in Electronic Music from Mills College and is completing a PhD in Communication Studies at McGill University. She recently published Pink Noises: Women on Electronic Music and Sound (Duke UP, 2010) and her current project is a feminist history of synthesized sound. She produces electronic music (as Analog Tara) and sound art in various forms and contexts.
