Brief Bio:

I am a doctoral candidate in the UCLA Archaeology Program where I specialize in Egyptian bioarchaeology, the study of human remains. My dissertation evaluates health in Deir el-Medina, the New Kingdom (1550-1080 BCE) village of the workmen who built the king's tombs. As a digital humanist, I have worked specifically with the development and deployment of mobile data collection as well as three-dimensional scanning both at an architectural level and on specific bones. I worked for the past two years in the UCLA Center for Digital Humanities, and am interested in gaining greater awareness on how to use the digital humanities to redefine my approaches to Egyptology and archaeology.
