I work with the Provost's office and leaders around campus to drive innovative teaching practices through the use of student-centered practice and technology.
My research interests center on narrative and storytelling, new media literacy, game studies, games and social media in education, and historical reception in new media.
I earned my Ph.D. in Classics at the University of Michigan (#goblue!). Currently, I work at the University of Chicago on a variety of initiatives that aim to drive innovative teaching practices on and off campus. You can find me on Twitter as @adarel. I'm a game designer in my free time, so beware the many game tweets to be found in my Twitter feed. :)
