Greetings HASTAC Scholars,
Please join us for the inaugural Feminist Scholars Digital Workshop. Hello, I am new to this site.  I have been desperately seeking some feminist discourse and analysis.  I have worked for 30 years in child protection as a socialist/feminist social worker.  I would also describe myself as a phenomenologist and systems theorist, which I don't see inherently incongruent if I maintain self-reflexivity.

I used feminist theory and practice as part of my framework to counteract the effects the effect of neo-posititvism, evidence based practice and right wing discourses.  My record would say I was sucesssful in managing this balance by connecting with women on a deep psychology level.

I am heartily critical of non-reflexive corporate universties.  Although aging, I still have things I need to say.

I want to be a doctoral candidate, but need some mentoring around  what I need to do.  My own university is just not getting me.  Or maybe I am totally off base?

I can see the cultural shifts in metamoderism, and think I can predict a revolutionary change in social order, so am I alone? The paradigmatic change to a Platonic dialectical argument is reminiscent of a meta conflict theory, and it is the metataxy I would like to explore, since it sits between the world and universality.  Does that make any sense?  If I am to incorporate a methodology like this into my practice of child protection, I would love the opportunity to discuss the impact this may have on practice.

Many thanks,

Hello Elizabeth,

Would you mind posting your introduction to the FSDW workshop group?  This will ensure that we can all read and respond to your post.  :)

Lori Beth

Hi all!

I am currently finishing up my MA in History and Appalachian Studies.  My research areas include the gendered nature of political power and women's public and political lives.  I also have secondary interests in foodways and other expressions of folk culture.

Hi Kris,

Please post your intro to the workshop group.  You might also want to check out the suggestions/guidelines for posting introductions.

Thanks, Kris!  :)
