UT Dallas seeks Director of ORBIT, first year student success initiative

UT Dallas is hiring an inaugural Director of ORBIT, our first year student success initiative. In this case, first year includes first time in college undergrads, transfer students, grad students, and international students.

The position is housed in Academic Affairs and the Provost's office, but you'll work closely with our amazing Dean of Undergraduate Education (also a HASTAC member), our fantastic staff of the Office of Graduate Studies (a Dean of Graduate Studies search is currently underway), and many other organizations on campus who are deeply committed to supporting student success.

In addition to the position and all it brings, members of HASTAC might also be interested to know that UTD has a robust interdisciplinary Feminist Research Collective, an active Feminist MakerSpace, an ATEC Dean's Colloquium that brings in amazing speakers throughout the year, and a Center for Values in Medicine, Science, and Technology that offers rich programming and a conference each year. This is 100% a position in administration, but that doesn't mean whoever is hired can't participate in all of these things.
