Assistant Professor in Data Analytics

We welcome candidates whose expertise falls in one or more of the following areas: computational methods in communication and social sciences, including data analysis, machine learning, and visualisation. 

Candidates are expected to have a PhD in Communication or a closely related discipline, with a specialization in computing at the time of appointment. This position has a maximum teaching load of three courses per year and will commence in July 2021. Assistant Professor in Cultural Studies

We welcome candidates whose expertise falls in one or more of the following areas: inter-Asia cultural studies; cultural and new media industries in Asia; network theory and data cultures of Asia; critical diaspora and mobility studies; new media, indigenous and sovereignty studies; digital ethnography; posthumanism, environment and ecology in Asia, cultural economy; cultural policy; critical creative industry studies; soft power and cultural diplomacy; multiculturalism and migration; community cultural development and; urban communication such as urban digital art and design.

Candidates are expected to have a PhD in Cultural Studies, Media and Communications Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment. This position has a maximum teaching load of three courses per year and will commence in July 2021. Assistant Professor in Media Law and Policy

We welcome candidates whose expertise falls in one or more of the following areas: Media law & policy; Media ethics; Intellectual property; Internet governance; global media policy; Tech law & policy; regulations of emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, and Internet of Things.

Candidates are expected to have a PhD in Media and Communications Studies, LLD with specialization in information technology and media, or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment. This position has a maximum teaching load of three courses per year and will commence in July 2021. Assistant Professor (Open Specialization)

We welcome candidates whose expertise falls in one or more of the following areas: strategic communication, communication management, interactive media design, human-computer interaction, cultural studies, communication technology, and computational social sciences.

Candidates are expected to have a PhD in Cultural Studies, Media and Communications Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Computational Communication, Design Informatics, or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment. This position has a maximum teaching load of three courses per year and will commence in July 2021. Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow 

We welcome candidates whose work falls in one or more of the following areas: new media and mobility; cultural studies in Asia; cultural theory and materialist cultural studies; critical software studies and network theory; games and e-sports theory; race, gender and sexuality studies in Asia; critical creative industry and policy studies; Asian film and digital heritage studies; digital ethnography and qualitative research methods.

Candidates are expected to have a PhD in Cultural Studies, Media and Communications Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment. This is a two-year position with a maximum teaching load of one course per semester and will commence in July 2021.
