Bring what you’re working on -- projects, papers, prospecti, chapters, articles, websites, proposals, you name it -- and we’ll workshop it together!
-
Get and give feedback with emerging scholars in a range of fields including media, technology and digital humanities.
-
Meet new writing partners and collaborators from different disciplines and institutions, in an unconference-inspired, participatory format.
-
YOU are part of the agenda; we’ll make up the schedule collaboratively.
This event was designed with busy scholars in mind. That’s why the focus is getting feedback and finding collaborators for projects we’re already working on. A Semaphore-sponsored light dinner and happy hour will allow the conversations to continue after the event.
If you’re actively writing, researching, or completing a project, this event is for you!
If you have any questions, please get in touch. Otherwise, please RSVP at www.semaphoreworkinggroup.org/

What a shame...
Looks like I won't be able to attend - makes me regret changing my tutoring hours to Fridays. :)
In the Open Source Community, we call these events "Hack Days", but they essentially follow the same model. I host a hack day at NC State with the Linux User's Group about every other month - I'll post the details when we finalize a date this November.
