As traditional funding structures are increasingly challenged, more and more graduate students complete programs part-time. How do you manage the competing priorities of a full-time job, graduate program, family and relationships, and self-care? Joe Ginese and Molly Mann share their experiences —what has worked and what hasn’t— along with some helpful resources to guide you along your academic, professional, and personal journey.

Molly Mann serves as Assistant Dean in the Graduate Division of St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at St. John’s University in Queens, NY. She is a Ph.D. candidate in English at St. John’s, where she has also completed a Master of Library Science (M.L.S.) degree, and where she teaches the undergraduate core course, Literature in a Global Context. You can find her on Twitter @molly_bl00m.

Joe Ginese is the New & First Year Student Programs Manager at the City University of New York - Borough of Manhattan Community College. Joe is currently enrolled in Hunter College’s EdD program focusing on Instructional Leadership. Joe has an MBA from Fairfield University’s Dolan School of Business and an advanced graduate certificate in adult learning: facilitation and design from the CUNY School of Professional Studies. You can find him on Twitter @JoeGinese.
