PyCarolinas 2012

Saturday, October 20, 2012 - 8:30am to Sunday, October 21, 2012 - 6:00pm

On the weekend of October 20 and 21, the first-ever PyCarolinas Conference will be held at UNC Chapel Hill.

PyCarolinas is a conference that brings together both novice and expert Python programmers in the NC/SC area to discuss tips, tricks, and other matters of interest to the Python development community. A two-day conference, PyCarolinas has a full schedule including keynote talks by Gary Bishop and Lynn Root, plenty of technical talks, and socializing opportunities. While many of the talks are highly technical in nature, there are a few that focus on how academics and educators can leverage Python in their research and teaching.

Python is considered an excellent starting point for individuals wanting to get into programming, so if you've been meaning to give it a try, here's a great place to do it!

Registration is $20 via Eventbrite. You can follow developments on Twitter from @PyCarolinas.
