The Graduate School of Education of the University of Pennsylvania is seeking applications for a 1-year post-doctoral fellowship position to participate in research and project management in three NSF-funded projects beginning October 15, 2011 or sooner:
ITEST-Nano: Nanotechnology and Bioengineering in Philadelphia Public Schools
ARIEL (with the Franklin Institute Science Museum): Augmented Reality for Interpretive and Experiential Learning
DRK12 BioGraph (with MIT): Graphical Programming for Constructing Complex Systems Understanding in Biology
Experience and skill in some or all of the following is an asset: quantitative analysis including, regression, multi-level modeling and survey and scale design, experimental and quasi-experimental methods, qualitative analyses and methods, management of large data sets, collaboration on an interdisciplinary team, data collection including classroom observations and curriculum design. Theoretical background in one or more of the following educational research areas is also desired: Professional Development, Social Network Analysis, Complex Systems, STEM Education, Foundations of the Learning Sciences, and Educational Technologies.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or Ed.D. in education. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
