Position available: Digital Scholarship Librarian @ University of N. Carolina Wilmington

Randall Library at the University of North Carolina Wilmington seeks an
innovative, collaborative librarian to serve in the role of Digital
Scholarship Librarian to support the scholarly and research activities of
faculty, researchers, and students by developing specialized research and
instructional partnerships; building a digital scholarship support program;
and providing general research support and outreach. The Digital Scholarship
Librarian is part of Randall Library’s Academic & Research Engagement (ARE)
division, which collaborates with faculty, staff, and students in UNCW
academic units to provide information literacy instruction, assist with
research, develop the library collection, provide consultative services
supporting research and scholarly communication, and partner on programming,
in alignment with the information and research needs of campus stakeholders.
Library faculty in this division proactively engage with campus constituents
to promote the use of library services, facilities, materials and expertise.

Upon initial appointment, this position will:
- Provide in-person and virtual synchronous and asynchronous consultations,
technical expertise, trainings, workshops, and support for digital scholarship
tools, methods, and practices used by faculty, researchers, students,
librarians, and other partners engaged with digital scholarship.
- Collaborate and consult with faculty and staff across the campus, as well as
within the Library, on the development of a network of digital scholarship
services, programs, and support
- Work both independently and collaboratively with liaison librarians to apply
digital scholarship tools and methods in instruction and class projects
- Develop effective outreach strategies for digital scholarship services and
promote and support interdisciplinary digital scholarship projects
