HOW TO PLAY ONE STAR REVIEWS NETPROV

After you create an account on Reddit, go to our forum: https://www.reddit.com/r/onestarreviewsnetprov/

1_Create a fictional character.  Your character can be close to yourself or very different. No stock characters, no stereotypes -- real people with complex needs -- specific, unique, unexpected, characters we haven’t seen before. Invent new characters as needed. Remember best practices: punch up, not down. Making fun of the powerful leads to smarter comedy than making fun of the weak or poor.  Avoid making fun of the marginalized or basically racism, sexism, homophobia, misogyny, we’ve got decades of that in are archives.  Let’s do better comedy.

2_Start a strangely positive thread, writing as your character, on our sub-Reddit about a one-star place or thing. In your review (150-300 words) find something surprising to enjoy. https://www.reddit.com/r/onestarreviewsnetprov

3_Begin your review with:

    Review Title

PLACE OR THING REVIEWED IN CAPS

    by [Fictional Username]

Reddit requires you to put 2 line breaks (hit ENTER) to make a new line or paragraph.

4_Add to threads started by others, reviewing the same place or thing, building a fiction, a narrative, post-upon-post, to create an unexpected aura around the place or thing. Perhaps the proprietor responds.  (After 2 reviews, shorter comments are okay.)
5_Reclaim the time spent dithering about consumer choices — follow the one star instead!
